What to know about the shared safari

  1. The group is made up of guests from different countries and is multilingual.
  2. The driver speaks English and almost no Russian.
  3. The drive takes place in a vehicle for six passengers: one in front, three in the second row and two in the third.
  4. The pick-up order depends on where the guests' hotels are, so you may be collected first or last. The dispatcher decides this on the day of the tour.
  5. The front seat is less prone to motion sickness but also less thrilling. The back rows rock more, but the ride is more fun.
  6. Seats in the vehicle cannot be reserved.
  7. A seat in front or in the second row can only be guaranteed on a private tour.
  8. The tour includes time for a buggy or quad bike ride. If you do not want to ride but other passengers in your vehicle do, everyone waits for them at the pit stop.
  9. Buggy and quad bike rides are run by third-party companies. We do not set their prices, but we know the typical range: if you let me know in advance, I will send you the price list, and the driver will make sure you pay exactly the price you expected. You can also bargain on the spot yourself.
  10. The stops have shops selling scarves and souvenirs. The driver and the organiser have no connection with them, and you should bargain with the sellers.
  11. A photo with a falcon at the pit stop is paid, but a falcon will be waiting at the camp for a completely free photo.
  12. If you know that you or your child are prone to motion sickness, I strongly recommend skipping the shared tour and booking a private trip, where you sit in front and set the intensity of the drive yourself.
