Schedule
Daily
Meeting point
Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve gate (Margham)
An evening at the Sonara desert camp: sunset in a lounge on top of a dune, dinner by the camp's chef and shows under the open sky. The camp is inside the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, about 40 minutes' drive from Downtown Dubai. You enter through the Margham gate, at exit 47 of Al Ain Road (E66), and a 4x4 takes you on to the camp in about 5 minutes. A transfer from your hotel can be added at extra cost.
The programme runs from about 16:30 to 21:00. At sunset, guests gather on the camp's upper level for canapés, pizzettas and soft drinks, sandboarding, camel rides and a falcon show. After sunset everyone moves down to the restaurant for a three-course dinner, an interactive hawk show, live music, a fire show and the camp's other signature shows. Kids have their own play area and a movie under the stars. Your arrival time at the gate depends on the month, and I confirm it when you book.
